We're Proud to Have Achieved a GOOD Rating in Our Mock Inspection
At Trelowen Manor Care Home, we are delighted to share the outcome of our recent independent mock inspection, carried out by Fulcrum on 14 July 2026.The inspection assessed our service against the same key areas used by the Care Quality Commission (CQC): Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led.
We are incredibly proud to have achieved an overall rating of GOOD, with every domain also rated GOOD.As a newly opened service, this result means a great deal to us. It reflects the dedication, compassion and professionalism of our team, who work tirelessly every day to provide person-centred, high-quality support.
It also recognises the strong governance, robust systems and positive culture we have worked hard to establish from the very beginning.While a mock inspection is not an official CQC inspection, it provides an honest and independent assessment of our service and helps us identify areas where we can continue to improve.
We see quality as a journey, not a destination, and we remain committed to continuously developing our service to ensure the very best outcomes for the people we support.This achievement belongs to every member of the Trelowen Manor team, and we would also like to thank the people we support, their families and our professional partners for their trust, encouragement and continued support.
We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together, and we look forward to building on this success as we prepare for our official CQC inspection.
CQC inspection February 2025
Following our most recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection, the service received an overall rating of Inadequate. The inspection provided valuable external assurance and highlighted both areas of good practice and aspects of the service where further development is required. Since the inspection, we have taken prompt and proactive action to address the findings, with a clear improvement plan in place focused on strengthening governance, consistency of practice, and quality oversight. We are committed to learning from the feedback provided and are working closely with staff, stakeholders, and professionals to ensure sustainable improvements are embedded. Our priority remains the delivery of safe, person-centred, and effective support, and we are confident that the actions implemented will lead to improved outcomes for the people we support.
